Staying at Scatwell provides the ideal location to explore the Highlands – why not try these for starters:
There has been a dwelling at Scatwell since the 1600’s on a site once occupied by the Picts and Vikings. Scatwell was originally the seat of the Mackenzies of Scatwell who enlarged the house to create a shooting lodge in the mid 1800’s. Since the late 1800’s, Scatwell has had several owners, many of whom were instrumental in creating the beautiful gardens and grounds that can be seen today.
